It starts with headaches and an itchy face, and that's where it ends for most. Sometimes it lasts longer, eyes get a bit cloudy, you become forgetful, the itching gets worse, but you still recover. Then, sometimes... it gets bad. You writhe in bed for days, you forget who you are, and then - thank Lea you were spared - it takes your sight."

I grab the fruits, sit, and nearly shove it into my mouth, before remembering I should split them open first.
Soft and oily, almost fishlike. Delicious.
"There's the Tio I know" Bran slaps my shoulder. "He can't ever get enough of those!"

Mom sits next to me, arm around my shoulder.
"Now, dear, it'll do you some good to get back on your feet. If you're still a bit fuzzy, we're in the middle of the village, right near the river. Upstream's the river-gathering and shrines, downstream's the farms, then the cliffs, down to the harbor. The tavern's right nearby just that way, and we've paid our labor tab to them for a good few weeks in case you're still hungry."

Brandubh chimes in.
"I'll go with him, make sure he doesn't trip off the cliffs."

Near the shrine, it starts getting... foggy. Sky's clear. No rain. Look back. No fog. Just near the shrine.

you wouldn't be able to see it owed to how your peoples' eyes work in seeing color.
