Redcap has shown she is strong. She won’t break if we have a little fun…

I ensnare her in a dangling rope from the rafters, my vision perfect in this pitch-black nothingness. Redcap can do nothing but shriek as she’s whisked to the highest point in the arena along with me as if on leather wings! The sound gives the stage crew a target, and they shine the spotlight on us.

“Nacha!” Redcap gasps. “Your mask… It’s changed!” She stares for a long, long moment into my eyes. Yes, this is good! She is mine. All mine!

I remember Step Six of Lucha. PRESENTATION!

“Why are you so surprised to see a Luchadora’s mask reflect her fighting spirit?” I give a throaty laugh. “My heart breaks for the Ohio Wrestling Organization. To see such a mighty team brought so low by the jackals of the WAN! Our precious Marv, brutally beaten by Genbu and sent to retirement, never to wrestle again! Alas it was always up to me to save us, with no CHAMP to fight for us! Where is Brett “The Threat?” He is training, always training, never fighting! Where is “Alleycat” Rose? She is missing, too, licking her wounds, no doubt!

“This isn’t the Nacha I befriended!” Trisha shouts, scaring Jimmy. Such a soft man, just like his dairy treats. “Fighting for honor, and your friends! The fans love a wrestler who fights for what’s right! They love you!”

“Of course they do!” I scoff. “And now, they will love me more, now that I fight for the OWO - and WIN, unlike you! What wrestling have you done, Trisha? Always hiding behind the microphone, afraid to get dirty like the rest of us!”

“You… you evil vampire!” Trisha bares her too-white fangs in a too-perfect growl, betraying how long she spends in front of a mirror. “I won’t let you corrupt Redcap. She’s our future, not you!”

“I won’t let this be the OWO’s destiny, even if it wins us the title,” Trisha says.

“Yeah!” Jimmy squares up like the oversized marshmallow he is. He looks to Trisha and nods. “We’ll stop you, Nacha, and bring you back to the light!”

“We challenge you to a MATCH!” Trisha and Jimmy point at me. “This Friday! Live!”

“How bold!” I laugh. “Since you’ve both challenged me, in the spirit of Lucha I must accept. And I have just the partner… won’t you help me, Redcap? After you’ve assisted in chasing after Dama Alta, of course. We will have a busy week, just the two of us.”

“Yes, mistress,” Redcap says, eyes lidded. Oh, I like the sound of that.

“Redcap, no!” Jimmy cries out. “Not the newest member of the OWO! Remember to fight for what’s right!”

“Fight her vampire powers! She’s a new vampire, she’s weak!”

“Fools! Even as a new vampire, I am NOT weak!” I declare. “You have no hope to defeat BOTH of us! The post-show darkness envelops us. The fans are all scared away by the terrifying experience of seeing me unleash my fury. I drop to the floor, straight from the ceiling, and land with supernatural precision in the center of the squared circle. My hair is wild, my hunger fierce.

A single spotlight flashes a warning to all who would oppose me, for the briefest of moments before darkness takes us again.

I spirit Redcap away from the squared circle (Lucha spirit!) and take her with me into the night. Her eyes are hazy, but becoming clearer as my attention begins to wander. Can I convince her to do whatever I want, so long as I focus my vampire powers on her closely?

Pues… let us test this. She is a nice, new wrestler, full of hope and goodness. Let’s have her do something against her nature.

“Redcap,” I coo. “You will break into the most reputable butcher’s pen in this town using your wrestler’s strength. Knock down all doors between you and the cleanest, most salmonella-free and delicious meat here.”

“Hickory Dickory Meats… is the most… reputable and clean… butcher in the Indiana-Ohio-Kentucky tri-state area…” Redcap says. “They have… $3.99 cuts… every day. Fresh and delicious…”

“Hickory Dickory Meats!” I declare. “Fit for a vampire. Show me your strength, Redcap!”

Redcap leads me to the butcher’s shop ($3.99 cuts? What a bargain!) and uses all her might to knock the back door open, its metal hinges breaking with her forceful blows.

”Buena chica,” I say, giving her a pat on the arm. “Now stand watch while I drink deep.”

The carcass I find is fresh and full of blood, meant for cleaning and draining later. It’s almost as good as a real live goat- and now it is mine! I drink deep, and the freshly slain animal fills me with primal power. My senses sharpen, especially my sense of smell.

I can smell Dama Alta.

I can chase her down to where she has fled.

My heart beats for the HUNT! The thrill of the chase is upon me! My muscles tense, the pounding in my ears fills my thoughts, drowning out all else.

There is no way she expects me to be able to track her down so soon. If I bring Redcap, my own thrall, this will be a fight neither she nor her mistress could withstand. I have beaten the vampire giraffe once, and this time it will not even be close, now that I am full of power and her greatest weapon, her bite, is useless!

Or make the outfit one that makes you shadowy and mysterious on introduction but can be discarded / destroyed once you 'reveal' your new self.
