>Triage. With only one major explosion, and friendly casualties still in the single digits, we're definitely on the right side of the bell curve for cutting-edge biotech lab safety. Let's keep this lucky streak going.
>Triage. We're on the clock and most of the destroyed/damaged organs can (hopefully) be replaced with cybernetics.
Understood. Structural repair to Volviti clone's internal organs and skeletal structure will be performed using cybernetic prostheses.
>Ugh... so, engorging the capacitor stack was a mistake? Or did the Metroid hybridisation screw it up? Or was it simply the fact that it got too big?
Sample dissection has determined that the cause of the explosion was growth defects in the capacitor stack. A low rate of growth defects is normal for Volviti and does not usually cause health problems until late in life. However the Volviti hybrid's defect rate is anomalously high and the capacitor stack was 981% of the volume of an average Volviti specimen.
Internal shorts caused by a cluster of growth defects combined with over-charging caused damage to the internal structure of the capacitor stack followed by explosion. The high defect rate is speculated to be related to Metroid chimerism - genetic splicing of capacitor-stack with Metroid nuclei has not been expressed evenly from cell to cell.
>Apply dye to the augmented limbs as they regrow/repair. A light yellow should fit with the clone's existing colour scheme.
Understood. Modifying energy draining limbs.
>In any case, set up a system to transfer excess power from the stacks to a battery or something to prevent explosions in the future
Overflow discharge to external battery will be incorporated.
>Ah, now I'm sad and disappointed. Kinda expected to see it up and running and trying to devour us. I mean, isn't that what every ma.. I mean special scientist wants. being eaten by it´s own affront against nature.
The project is not yet complete, Garden Team.
>Replace the capacitor stack with an artificial, detachable variant and manufacture reserves. In case of accidental or intentional overload, the Volviti can eject the capacitor stacks with its railgun. As it has just so helpfully demonstrated, the difference between a capacitor and a bomb is the controlled release of energy.
This biocomputer's recommendation is to not attempt to engineer a major internal organ into a better bomb.
>Also try feeding any troopers marked for punishment to the Metroid bits. Maybe healing effects? Maybe she blows up more because that's what initiated the overcharge in the first place? Test it! SCIENCE!
This is completely untested. Preparing candidate list.
>>However, fire fighting efforts were hampered by a technician incorrectly connecting a line to a high pressure fluid conduit supplying Project Boiler's tank instead of fire main.
>Like this guy
>Feeding of that guy approved.
That technician is currently in critical condition. Transferring from medical bay back to bio-research laboratory.
>An inadvisable waste of the brain transplant subject testing pool.
Incomplete successes from the brain transplantation will need disposal in any case.
On that subject, as a final task before the projects are merged, select the preferred candidate for final transplantation into the Volviti clone. Selection criteria for this short-list were useful skills and expendability. For de-risking, techniques may be trialled on non-candidate brains.
