also!! some things i wanna clarify since people were wondering!!
- what does she go to school for?? well. yknow. it's School. she doesnt go to college or anything, she just goes to School. like Students do.
- do we gotta worry about being mean?? people's messages can be as crude, bantering, or overall odd as they'd like!! it works naturally in-universe, she's definitely had worse in her mind before. belittle her, compliment her, praise her, shame her, hate her, love her!!
- is this quest nsfw or sfw?? who's to say!! im nyot closed off to much, so expect anything, i suppose!!

any other (non-spoilery)_questions ill be up to answer!! thank you all for your mayaquest support!!! <3

WAIT! NOQ I MEANT "WAIT"

>>

Well, consider me hooked.

I will admit i was initially suspercting she was a ghost.

Waiting for a bus that never came on an empty street.
Feeling cold.
Disassociated dream like state.
Avoidant of contact with others.
Actively disturbed by thought of going home and contacting parents.

Silly, given the number of other explanaitions.

I do kinda wish i floated the idea in comment though if only to see the reaction.

Considering it seems like part of the intriguing mystery is 'What, exactly, IS Maya that even she isn't aware of?' I hope that's not answered too quickly. It's very interesting to theorize like this.

Is the trick that when too many people suggest something, she has an epileptic seizure?

Because otherwise I'm going to suggest silly things.

It's a bit gross to claim mental illness, I'm plenty aware.
But, well.
She's got voices in her head- even if they actually aren't HER voices, not like anyone else can hear them, so it's a bit of a half-and-half statement.

She's panicking a LOT right now, so we should probably do our best to calm her down somehow. Right now I'm just trying to A: calm her down, and B: give her a plausible reason to shut up and convince any people she talks to that her behavior is to be expected on some level so she stresses LESS about how she's perceived.

I want to discover what's up with Maya. I do NOT want her to have a psychological break in the process.

Thinking about it, if she cannot 'autofilter' our voices like a lot of other quest MCs can, that's going to clearly be a source of...issues. I kinda implied that before, but I just want to be very clear about it since I've been thinking about the matter more.

On the side of entertainment, it really relegates the quest to either Maya stumbling through absolute madness the ENTIRE time and basically having everyone act weirdly as her mind breaks itself into multiple pieces trying to listen to everyone, or there is a soft practical cap on how many suggesters can do anything at a time, which is inherently unfun.

That's not to say this is all a horrible setup and it should be changed- but from what I'm seeing, this is something everyone needs to keep in mind- the more suggestions that are input PERIOD, regardless of content, the more fractured Maya's psyche gets trying to listen to and execute all of them, barring QM moments that allow time to pass without our input.

I would personally suggest that if we want to keep her sane, happy, healthy, and able to think about what's going on with her feeling cold and whatnot, we try to limit massive varying suggestions and just to go with one of the first 3-4 options of whoever suggested, just with tweaks at the worst.

try not to worry too much about that! at the age and state maya is at, she's prone to have lots of chaos in her mind! she just needs some time to get better at handling it. even if there's significantly varying suggestions, im sure she can adapt! hopefully, that is. i mean, how can you keep her safe from bad thoughts without good thoughts? and dont worry, those aren't the only two paths the quest can go down (boring chaos or boring limitations), try to have a little more faith in maya, y'hear!

I missed the recent updating spree, but ive gotten my role as an intrusive thought done anyway.
Some very funny bits. Still intrigued by the unanswered questions.

If you say so. I just liked the start and I like the design so I'm worried for her.
